To practice as an orthodontist, a dentist must successfully complete several years of additional training in an orthodontic program accredited by the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO). Our doctors are all specialists and active members of the AAO as well as the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists and the Maryland State Society of Orthodontists.
Dr. Pick earned his B.A. from the University of Michigan, his D.D.S. from the University of Maryland in 1966 and his M.S.D. in orthodontics from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1970. Upon graduation from dental school, he served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy Dental Corps. He has completed post-graduate courses at several of the nation's leading institutions. Since 1970, he has been exclusively in the private practice of orthodontics.
Dr. Pick is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists, the Maryland State Society of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association. He is a former President of the Maryland State Society of Orthodontists and the Western Shore Dental Society. Dr. Pick is currently on the faculty of the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery's post-graduate orthodontic department and is a member of the Johns Hopkins Craniofacial and Cleft Palate Rehabilitation Team. In October 1992, Dr. Pick was honored with his induction as a Fellow of the American College of Dentists.
The father of three children, Dr. Pick lives in Owings Mills.
Dr. Siegel earned his B.A. from Brooklyn College, his D.M.D. from the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1980 and his certificate in orthodontics from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Upon graduation from dental school, he served as a commissioned officer in the United States Public Health Service. Prior to becoming an orthodontic specialist, Dr. Siegel was in the private practice of general dentistry with his wife, Mindy, who is also a dentist.

Dr. Shoe earned his B.S. in biology at the Pennsylvania State University with honors from the Schreyer Honors College in 2001, his D.M.D. at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 2005, and his M.S. and orthodontic certificate at the University of Maryland Dental School in 2008. During this time, Dr. Shoe has been involved in various research projects, including the evaluation and application of a new rating system for treatment outcomes of patients with bilateral cleft lip and palate. His dental school research project focused on potential molecular explanations for metastasis of breast cancer to bone.
Dr. Shoe is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Cleft Palate Craniofacial Association, the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists, the Maryland State Society of Orthodontists, and the American Dental Association. Dr. Shoe joined Drs. Pick and Shoe as a faculty member in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Maryland Dental School, as well as a member of the Johns Hopkins Cleft and Craniofacial team.
Dr. Shoe and his wife, Diana, live in Owings Mills. Diana is presently a dental student at the University of Maryland Dental School.
